Water pre-filters require a filter housing with input and output ports. This housing includes all of the necessary fittings to connect to the water supply feeding your ionizer. Although the capacity of each filter inside the housing varies (please see specific filter descriptions), a typical filter housing itself is good for approximately 5 to 7 years.
