Well Water
It
almost would seem that no two wells are the same. A well just near by
can be very different with output and quality not to mention large
geographical differences such as North America.
A well can be 'sweet water' or have excessive
contaminants that would have to be removed by pre-filtration with
specialty pre-filters or sometimes by a reverse osmosis system
It is recommended that you know your source water either
from a recent water test report or to have a new test done. Most of the
time we will know where to go from there and make any recommendations.
A reverse osmosis system will generally be recommended
when a particular problem can not easily be solved with pre-filtration.
An RO system would necessitate the use of a re-mineral
pre-filter to add essential alkaline minerals for proper ionization
in the water ionizer.
Please check with us first before ordering an ionizer if
you have well water and are unsure about the quality of your well water.
In general most municipal water will be just fine for use with one of
our water ionizers.
Excessive pH or very Hard Water
Excessive hard water will also need a reduce hardness pre-filter to
improve performance and reduce scale build up. The warranty threshold
for the ionizer is no more than 17 grains of hardness without the use of
a reduce hardness pre-filter. Please let us know if you have extremely
hard water and we will recommend the proper pre-filter for this
condition or alternatively our
Reverse Osmosis System will solve the problem.

Total Dissolve Solids or TDS
Total
Dissolved Solids refers to combined content of allinorganic and
organic substances suspended in a liquid and can be in a
colloidal, ionized or molecular form. These particles are
generally small in nature being no larger than 2 microns. A micron is
defined as one millionth of a meter or one thousandth of a millimeter.
By comparison, Salmonella enteritidis the bacteria that causes one form of food
poisoning is between .06 and .07 microns.
High TDS can affect ionization in our water cell and pH and -ORP results
can be altered to unsatisfactory. Our
warranty to be void requires pre-filtration if TDS is up to and over
300ppm.Most municipal water is fine and TDS is usually a well issue but
doesn't exclude certain municipalities. If in doubt please get a copy of
a test report from your local water Company or call them. In general
they will provide this free of charge and often the test report can be
found on line.
Water Softeners
Water softeners are used when there is very hard water and the potential for
scale buildup inside pipes, water heaters, toilets and plumbing
fixtures. Water softeners also help with greater lathering bathing and
with softer laundry. Most water softeners are of the negative ion type
that use salt to change the ion properties of alkaline minerals so that
scale buildup does not occur. Water Softeners can reduce the ion effect of alkaline mineral.
Water Softeners can reduce the ion effect of alkaline minerals and
therefore affect the ionization results of your water ionizer. If you
have a water softener and want to install an ionizer, chances are that
you will need to bypass the softener or use a >reverse osmosis system
